Quality Assurance Test Engineer - Automation & Manual Testing

Job Summary : The purpose of this role is to prepare test cases and perform thorough testing of our products, platforms, and solutions before deployment to client environments. As a QA Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of our software, identifying and reporting defects, and contributing to a seamless client experience. Responsibilities : Test Case Development and Execution : - Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and user stories. - Execute manual and automated test cases to verify functionality, performance, and usability of software applications. - Document test results, including defects, issues, and anomalies, with clear and detailed descriptions. - Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously resolved defects do not reappear. - Perform functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. Defect Management : - Identify, report, and track software defects using bug tracking systems (e., Jira, Bugzilla). - Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects. - Verify defect fixes and ensure the quality of software releases. - Prioritize and manage defects based on severity and impact. Test Environment Setup and Maintenance : - Set up and maintain test environments to ensure accurate and reliable testing. - Configure test data and ensure data integrity. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test environments. Test Documentation and Reporting : - Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. - Provide regular updates on testing progress and defect status. - Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics for stakeholders. Collaboration and Communication : - Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. - Communicate testing progress and issues clearly and concisely. - Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design. - Contribute to the development of best practices for quality assurance. Continuous Improvement : - Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and tools. - Identify and recommend improvements to testing processes and procedures. - Contribute to the development of best practices for quality assurance. Client Deployment Support : - Perform pre-deployment testing to ensure the product/platform/solution is ready for client environments. - Provide support during client deployments, addressing any issues that arise. - Validate successful deployment and functionality in client environments. Qualifications : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Experience : - [Number] years of experience in software testing or quality assurance. - Experience with manual testing techniques and methodologies. - Experience with bug tracking systems (e. , Jira, Bugzilla). - Familiarity with test management tools (e. , TestRail, Zephyr). - Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (eg , Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG) (if applicable). - Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e., Python, Java, JavaScript) (if applicable). Technical Skills : - Proficiency in manual testing techniques. - Experience with bug tracking and test management tools. - Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Knowledge of database concepts and SQL (basic). - Familiarity with web technologies and APIs (basic). Soft Skills : - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
