Enterprise Cloud Architect - Azure Infrastructure

Urgent requirement for Enterprise Cloud Architect for Bangalore Location. Experience : 10-15 Yrs Job Location : Bangalore (Hybrid) Job Description : You will be required to maintain your core knowledge of wider technology trends and the technology ecosystem; build roadmaps and solutions; and govern relevant technology choices within the Firm. Core responsibilities : - Develop Cloud strategy and 3-year roadmaps, aligning it to Cloud-provider roadmaps (see below for more detail). - Design, govern and assure Cloud Services in support of multi-Cloud hosting strategy, incl. Azure, AWS and GCP. - Provide oversight and guidance with respect to the re-architecting of (non Cloud-native) applications and services, ahead of migration to the public Cloud. - Design and build policies for 'landing zones' thus laying a strong foundation for automated delivery. - Maintain a high level of technical knowledge incl. current, emerging and future technology market trends and their impact on the business. - Assist product owners, solution and application architects to desig scalable, highly available, secure, cost-effective solutions that leverage Cloud services. - Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Cloud ecosystems, incl. the main applications and technologies that support client-facing business units, e.g. Tax, Audit, etc. - If required, provide advice to and/or seek to learn from other Member Firms, client teams and/or clients that are seeking to implement or improve their use of Cloud technologies and/or methods. Roadmaps & solutions (more detail) : - Work with business unit CTOs, and business and technical SMEs, to develop Cloud technology roadmaps. - Ensure these roadmaps are aligned to the relevant business strategy, and aligned to those of other business units and technology domain roadmaps. - Work with business unit CTOs, technical SMEs and specific projects to analyse and translate business requirements into technical requirements, ensuring that these are feasible. - Ensure that solution architects produce designs that are fit-for-purpose, adhere to relevant standards and patterns, leverage reusable components, and align to wider tech domains - Contribute to the selection of specific technologies. - Influence business and technology stakeholders to adopt the right technology solutions - Support the design and implementation of operating models that improve the design and delivery of successful technology deployments. - Escalate risks, issues and critical dependencies to the appropriate leaders as required to ensure the successful delivery of the strategy. Technology governance (more detail) : - Help to establish, and participate in, the technology assurance process, building reference models and ensuring that standards, patterns and reusable components are enforced. - Ensure that legacy technology is decommissioned to manage and reduce technical debt. - Support the selection and implementation of enterprise architecture tools that help to accelerate and govern technology initiatives. Qualifications : Essential expertise (Enterprise Cloud Architecture) : - Experience of architecting, at least two of the three major public cloud providers (Azure (preferred), AWS and GCP( preferred), incl. Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines. - Architecting infrastructure & applications in multiple Cloud archetypes, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. - Designing cyber-security and Cloud control frameworks within a regulatory environment - Cloud cost and service models. - Good knowledge of EA governance incl. steps required, e.g. Info Sec approval, conceptual and solution architecture reviews, security assessments, pen tests, code reviews and service acceptance criteria. - Good understanding of technical debt, incl. its causes, how to measure it, and remedial actions incl. decommissioning. - 10 years of experience in Enterprise and Solution Architecture roles, with at least 6 years as an EA - Experience of leading a team of architects. Essential (other) : - Expert knowledge of at least one other technology domain beyond Cloud, e.g. Collaboration & Experience; Data Science & AI; Data; Process Automation; Integration; or Security. - Experience of working with Agile SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) methods - Understanding of common business analysis techniques and approaches. - Able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a way that is relevant, easy to consume and compelling. - A high level of general, technical knowledge incl. current, emerging and future technology market trends and their impact on business. - Good understanding of project management concepts, incl. Gantt charts/plans, risks, assumptions and dependencies, etc. - Good oral and written communication skills - Good interpersonal and leadership skills - Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to leverage networks in e.g. to tap into additional expertise if required - Comfortable working with ambiguity at the beginning of projects, with ability to provide clarity of direction despite this Desirable : - Cloud VDI experience - Cloud Architect Certification from multiple Cloud providers - Qualified in ITIL and TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) - Good knowledge of Business Architecture, incl. business and technology strategies, operating models, process models, business and technology capability models and taxonomies - Experience within Global, multi-national organisations with wide array of stakeholders - Experience of leading offshore teams. - Practical understanding of GDPR and ISO 27001 Education : Bachelor's degree (ref:hirist.tech)
