Node.js Developer

Job Summary : We are looking for a skilled and motivated Node.js Developer to join our backend development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance server-side applications using Node.js, with a strong understanding of APIs, databases, and cloud services. Youll work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver efficient, maintainable, and secure backend Responsibilities : - Develop and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using Node.js. - Design RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for frontend consumption. - Integrate external systems and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, third-party services). - Work with databases (SQL or NoSQL) to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity. - Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and QA engineers to implement and test new features. - Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and team retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner. - Maintain proper documentation of code, APIs, and deployment Skills : - 56 years of professional experience in Node.js backend development. - Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and asynchronous programming concepts. - Experience with frameworks/libraries such as Express.js, NestJS, or Koa.js. - Proficiency in working with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other databases. - Understanding of RESTful API design and API security (OAuth, JWT, etc.). - Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices. - Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (Mocha, Chai, Jest) and test-driven development. - Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP (ref:hirist.tech)
