IT Governance & Controls Specialist - COBIT Frameworks

Job Title : IT Governance & Controls Specialist (COBIT 4 Design & Implementation) DM / M / SM Location : Bangalore Experience : 4 years Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled IT Governance & Controls Specialist with expertise in COBIT 4 to join our Risk & Compliance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing COBIT 4-based IT control frameworks, working closely with audit, risk, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities : - Design, implement, and maintain IT controls and processes based on COBIT 4 frameworks . - Conduct assessments and gap analysis to evaluate current IT governance maturity levels. - Work with internal teams and external auditors to support audits and ensure compliance with relevant standards. - Prepare documentation including control frameworks, policy documents, process flows, and audit reports. - Collaborate with stakeholders to improve risk management practices and internal control mechanisms. - Provide training and awareness on COBIT 4 processes and governance best practices. - Monitor and report on the effectiveness of IT controls and suggest & Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - COBIT 4 certification is mandatory (e.g., COBIT 4.1 Foundation or Practitioner). - Additional certifications like CISA, CRISC, ITIL, or ISO 27001 are a strong 5 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or internal controls . - Minimum 2 years of direct hands-on experience in COBIT 4 control design and implementation . - Proven experience working with audit teams, compliance stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Skills : - In-depth understanding of COBIT 4 processes, domains, and control objectives . - Strong knowledge of IT control environments and risk frameworks . - Proficiency in developing policies, documenting processes, and performing gap analysis. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management , and presentation skills . - Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
