About the job : We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Golang to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high performance, scalable, and reliable backend : - Design, write, and deliver highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems with minimal guidance, with a focus on Golang. - Participate in code and design reviews, ensuring adherence to our high development standards, specifically for Golang-based projects. - Partner with the product management team to define and execute the feature roadmap, with an emphasis on backend services built in Golang. - Translate business requirements into scalable and extensible designs, with a focus on Golang implementation. - Proactively manage stakeholder communication related to deliverables, risks, changes, and dependencies in Golang-centric projects. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Mobile, DevOps, Data, UX, QA, etc.) on planning and execution, ensuring seamless integration with Golang backend services. - Continuously improve code quality, product execution, and customer delight, with a focus on Golang best practices. - Demonstrate an enormous sense of ownership in Golang-based projects. - Engage in service capacity and demand planning, software performance analysis, tuning, and optimization, with a focus on Golang : - Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5 years of experience in commercial software development in large distributed systems. Experience : - Hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using Golang for large scale applications. - Deep knowledge of Linux as a production environment for Golang applications. - Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and asynchronous architectures, with a focus on their implementation in Golang. - Expert in Golang. - Ability to design and implement low-latency RESTful services using Golang. - Hands-on coder who has built backend services that handle high-volume traffic using Golang. - Strong understanding of system performance and scaling of Golang applications. - Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, and the ability to think critically about the current system in terms of growth and stability of Golang applications. - Data modeling experience in both Relational and NoSQL databases, with experience in integrating with Golang applications. - Continuously refactor applications to ensure high-quality design in Golang. - Ability to plan, prioritize, estimate, and execute releases with a good degree of predictability for Golang based projects. - Ability to scope, review, and refine user stories for technical completeness and to alleviate dependency risks in Golang projects. - Passion for learning new things and solving challenging problems related to Golang development. - Ability to get stuff done! Nice to have : - Familiarity with the Golang ecosystem. - Familiarity with running web services at scale; understanding of systems internals and networking are a plus, especially in the context of Golang applications. - Be familiar with HTTP/HTTPS communication protocols.
