Quicksight Engineer - Data Analytics

Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QuickSight BI Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and insightful dashboards using AWS QuickSight. You will leverage your expertise in AWS Redshift to optimize data retrieval and ensure seamless integration with QuickSight. Your contributions will directly impact our stakeholders' ability to make data-driven decisions by providing them with actionable insights through visually appealing and performant dashboards. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and visualizations using AWS QuickSight to meet business requirements. - Maintain and enhance existing QuickSight dashboards, ensuring accuracy and performance. - Create compelling data stories and visualizations that effectively communicate key insights. - Implement best practices for dashboard design, usability, and performance. - Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract data from AWS Redshift for QuickSight dashboards. - Ensure efficient data integration between Redshift and QuickSight, minimizing latency and maximizing performance. - Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues between Redshift and QuickSight. - Optimize Redshift tables for QuickSight usage. - Implement scheduled reports and automated alerts to deliver timely insights to stakeholders. - Develop and maintain data pipelines to support scheduled reporting and alerting. - Configure and manage email subscriptions for QuickSight dashboards. - Perform SQL-based data transformations to prepare data for QuickSight dashboards. - Design and implement data models that support efficient data analysis and reporting. - Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries and data models. - Work with AWS Glue for ETL operations. - Collaborate with the QA team to validate dashboard accuracy and data integrity. - Develop and execute test cases to ensure the quality of QuickSight dashboards. - Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure data consistency. - Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and row-level security (RLS) to protect sensitive data. - Manage user permissions and access to QuickSight dashboards. - Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies. - Document dashboard design, development, and maintenance processes. Skills Required : - Expertise in AWS QuickSight, including advanced features and functionalities. - Strong proficiency in AWS services, particularly AWS Redshift, AWS Glue, and AWS S3. - Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. - Experience in data modeling and performance tuning. - Knowledge of star schema and snowflake schema. - Experience implementing RBAC and RLS in AWS QuickSight. - Understanding of data security best practices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to document processes and procedures. Preferred Qualifications : - AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty certification. - Experience with other BI tools (e., Tableau, Power BI). - Knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation. - Experience with data warehousing concepts. - Understanding of ETL processes (ref:hirist.tech)
