Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Java

Job Description : We are looking for a passionate and experienced QE Automation Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in API automation testing using Java, Rest-Assured, and Karate, along with proficiency in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber. You will play a key role in building robust, scalable, and efficient test automation suites for our API and backend services. Key Responsibilities : - Design and implement automated test frameworks for API and backend services. - Develop and maintain API test scripts using Java, Rest-Assured, and Karate. - Leverage BDD frameworks like Cucumber to write readable and maintainable test scenarios. - Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure continuous quality delivery. - Contribute to the enhancement of test strategies, standards, and best practices. - Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize automation code and pipelines. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on quality and testability. Required Skills : - 510 years of experience in Automation Testing, with a focus on API automation. - Strong programming skills in Java. - Hands-on experience with Rest-Assured and/or Karate for API automation. - Proficient in BDD frameworks, especially Cucumber. - Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and JSON/XML data formats. - Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into DevOps workflows. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Exposure to performance testing tools is a plus. - Familiarity with version control tools like Git. - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
