Business Integra - SAP CO Functional Consultant

Role : SAP CO Functional consultant. Required Technical Skill Set : SAP CO (Controlling and Profitability analysis). Experience : 6-10 years Location : PAN India. Must-Have : - Minimum 6 years of hands-on SAP CO functional consulting experience in client-facing roles, including the configuration of various Controlling areas. - Proven experience of having been actively involved in SLA-driven support projects, demonstrating the ability to resolve issues within defined timelines and maintain service level agreements. - Deep understanding of Controlling and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) processes, including value fields, characteristic derivation, planning, actual postings, result analysis, and settlement processes. - Extensive experience working on core CO modules, including : 1. Product Costing (CO-PC) : Cost component structure, material costing, standard costing, variance analysis, cost object controlling. 2. Overhead Management (CO-OM) : Cost center accounting, activity-based costing (ABC - desirable), internal order accounting, overhead calculation. 3. Internal Order Accounting (CO-OM-OPA) : Creation, planning, budgeting, allocation, and settlement of internal orders. 4. Controlling and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) : Configuration of operating concern, characteristic derivation, value fields, planning, actual data transfer, profitability reporting. - Interface Reporting : Experience in defining and supporting CO-related reporting requirements and interfaces with other modules or external systems. - Solid understanding of SAP CO Master Data, including : 1. Profit centers and profit center hierarchy. 2. Cost centers and cost center hierarchy. 3. Internal orders and order types. 4. Cost elements (primary and secondary) and their configuration. - Experience with master data setup and upload techniques, particularly using tools like LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench). - Demonstrated ability to investigate and analyze custom developments or enhancements within the CO - module to understand the underlying logic and identify root causes of issues. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, business users, and technical teams. - Experience in team handling, including mentoring junior consultants and potentially leading small teams or work streams. - Ability to effectively communicate technical table details and functional requirements to ABAP developers for custom ABAP developments. - Strong knowledge of core SAP CO function modules and underlying table : - Exposure to related SAP integration modules such as : 1. SAP FI (Financial Accounting) : understanding of integration points like automatic account assignment, reconciliation. 2. SAP PS (Project System) : understanding of project cost controlling and integration with CO. 3. SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) : understanding of sales order costing, profitability analysis based on sales data. 4. SAP MM (Materials Management) : understanding of material valuation and its impact on costing. - Experience working within Agile framework methodologies (e.g., Scrum, : - Provide expert functional consulting services in the SAP CO module to clients across various industries. - Understand client business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations within SAP CO. - Perform detailed configuration and customization of the SAP CO module, including CO-PA, Product Costing, Overhead Management, and Internal Order Accounting. - Design and implement solutions for complex business scenarios related to cost accounting, profitability analysis, and management reporting. - Conduct workshops and gather requirements from business users to understand their specific needs and challenges. - Prepare functional design documents, configuration guides, test scripts, and training materials. - Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT). - Provide support for SLA-driven support projects, including troubleshooting issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing timely solutions. - Collaborate effectively with technical teams (ABAP developers, Basis administrators) to implement custom solutions and resolve technical issues. - Work closely with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between SAP CO and other relevant modules (FI, PS, SD, MM). - Analyze and resolve data inconsistencies and ensure data integrity within the CO module. - Stay updated with the latest SAP CO functionalities, best practices, and industry trends. - Participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of internal knowledge base. - Potentially lead small teams or work streams within larger projects. - Mentor and guide junior SAP CO consultants.
