Quality Assurance Engineer - Appium/Selenium

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Engineer to join our team in Madurai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, with at least one year of experience in automation. This role requires the ability to design and implement comprehensive test strategies, frameworks, and test cases, while also contributing to the improvement of our testing best practices. The candidate will be expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely execution of test cases. Responsibilities : Test Strategy and Planning : - Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts. - Create and implement comprehensive test strategies for various projects. - Evaluate and improve the existing testing processes and methodologies. Manual Testing : - Perform thorough manual testing of software applications, including functional, regression, and integration testing. - Identify, analyze, and document software defects and inconsistencies. - Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. Automation Testing : - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using appropriate tools and technologies. - Automate repetitive test cases to improve efficiency and coverage. - Execute automated test suites and analyze test results. - Setup and maintain test environments. Bug Tracking and Reporting : - Use bug tracking tools to report, track, and manage software defects. - Provide detailed and accurate bug reports to the development team. - Verify bug fixes and ensure successful resolution. Process Improvement : - Evaluate the effectiveness of testing processes and recommend improvements. - Contribute to the development and implementation of testing best practices. - Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and techniques. Collaboration : - Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. - Participate in code reviews. Requirements : Experience : - Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in manual QA testing. - Minimum 1 year of experience in automation testing. Skills : - Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. - Experience in designing and executing test cases. - Proficiency in using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG). - Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience with API testing tools like Postman, or similar. - Experience with database testing.
