Desktop Support Engineer - Ticketing System

Job Description

Job Description Provide on-site and remote support for end-user hardware and software issues. - Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. - Perform software installations, updates, and patches to ensure system security and performance. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and basic network configurations. - Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). - Assist in asset management, including tracking and maintaining IT inventory. - Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty claims. - Provide basic training and guidance to users on software applications and best practices. - Ensure adherence to IT security policies and data protection standards. Requirements : - Strong knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, and basic Linux troubleshooting. - Experience with Active Directory, Office 365 and remote desktop tools. - Good understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP). - Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacements. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. Preferred Skills : - IT certifications like CCNA, MCSA, or ITIL Foundation are a plus. (ref:hirist.tech)
