Power Bi Developer - Data Visualization

Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and versatile Data Engineer & Power BI Developer to join our data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and business intelligence solutions using Power BI and SQL Server. You will work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and other developers to transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL Server database administration, and Power BI development. Responsibilities : Data Engineering (SQL Server) : - Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). - Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction, transformation, and loading. - Design and implement data warehousing solutions using SQL Server. - Perform database administration tasks, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery. - Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation and cleansing. Power BI Development : - Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. - Create data models and relationships in Power BI Desktop. - Develop DAX measures and calculations for complex data analysis. - Implement data security and access control in Power BI. - Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability. Data Integration and Management : - Integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files. - Develop and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch data processing. - Manage data storage and retrieval in SQL Server and Power BI. - Ensure data governance and compliance with data management policies. Requirements Analysis and Design : - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather data requirements. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data solutions. - Design and document data models, ETL/ELT processes, and Power BI reports. Testing and Quality Assurance : - Develop and execute test plans for data pipelines and Power BI reports. - Perform unit, integration, and system testing. - Ensure the quality and reliability of data solutions. - Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues. Collaboration and Communication : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business stakeholders, and developers. - Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely. - Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and data solutions. - Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices. Continuous Learning : - Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering and Power BI technologies and trends. -Research and evaluate new tools and technologies. - Participate in training and professional development activities. Mandatory Skillset : SQL Server : - Advanced knowledge of SQL Server database administration and development. - Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. - Strong experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL/ELT processes. - Understanding of data warehousing concepts and SQL Server data warehousing solutions. Power BI : - Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. - Strong experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports. - Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations. - Experience in data modeling and relationship management in Power BI. Qualifications : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
