POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Procurement Specialist is a key contributor to the Animal Health Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. With guidance and leadership from the Sr. Director and Planning colleagues, the incumbent will:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete all tasks with safety at the forefront
- Manage raw material requirements to include placing purchase orders, tracking delivery status and following up timely delivery to meet production needs
- Partner closely with site production, procurement, accounting or other personnel to manage inventory, costs and other questions related to raw material and packaging components
- Manage site-to-site transfers to cover production needs of shared materials
- Own scheduling of required rail transfers to include managing the rail car fleet to minimize total expense and demurrage charges
- Maintain Aqueous Choline production schedule to ensure customer and inventory needs are met
- Maintain master data in the MRP, as required
- Perform other duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience with scheduling a rail car fleet preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP system operation. Preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills.
