Packhouse Manager Required for Farming Business

We require an energetic, experienced and responsible manager to oversee our packhouse which picks multiple crops for local and National retailers and wholesalers. The vacancy requires a candidate that is able to work under pressure and deliver results. The vacancy entails: * Managing a workforce of over 250 workers in season and 30 out of season * Planning all production and logistics * Liaising with customers to completeand deliver orders in an efficient and timeous manner under pressure * Working with the QA team to ensure compliance against all customer standards as well as ensuring compliance with quality documentation that requires completion and verification All applicants must reply with their CV's and contactable references to: leslie@limberlost.co.za . The Applicant must: * Have senior management experience * Have good experience in packhouse/production Management * Have a good understanding of various Quality Standards such as HAACP, FSSC22000, SIZA & Farming for the Future. Completion of an accredited FSSC22000 course would be an advantage * Have excellent communication skills and be able to manage large teams of workers. The position requires the candidate to effectively manage and delegate responsibilities to employees and ensure adherence and discipline * Have ability to deal with customers and high pressure deadlines * Be able to work weekends and overtime in season * Be proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Outlook & Excel) and comfortable in the use of various PC applications Salary negotiable.
