Hadoop Developer - Big Data Technologies

Job Title : Hadoop Developer Location : Bangalore, India Experience : 3 to 6 Years Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced and passionate Hadoop Developer to join our dynamic Big Data team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Hadoop ecosystem tools, with hands-on experience in Hive and Spark. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing Big Data solutions to process and analyze large volumes of data efficiently. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy Big Data applications using Hadoop technologies. - Develop Hive queries, Spark jobs, and manage large datasets in Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). - Optimize and troubleshoot Hadoop, Hive, and Spark based applications for better performance and scalability. - Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions. - Perform data ingestion using tools like Sqoop, Flume, or custom ingestion pipelines. - Ensure data quality, security, and governance in the Hadoop ecosystem. - Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members when required. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience as a Hadoop Developer. - Strong working knowledge of Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). - Expertise in Hive and Spark (both batch and streaming jobs). - Proficient in SQL and data querying languages. - Good knowledge of MapReduce concepts. - Experience in data ingestion tools like Sqoop, Flume (optional but preferred). - Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. - Familiarity with version control tools like Git. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Good to Have : - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their Big Data services. - Experience in Python/Scala/Java for writing Spark jobs. - Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging queues for real-time processing.
