This is a full-time permanent role requiring a strong background in Cypress automation, BDD, and Cucumber. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications. This position operates in a hybrid work model, requiring presence in our Pune office. Role Overview : As a Cypress Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Cypress. You will collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and implement best practices for automation testing. Your expertise in BDD and Cucumber will be crucial in creating clear and maintainable test specifications. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress. - Create and execute test plans and test cases. - Develop and maintain test automation frameworks. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Write feature files and step definitions using BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) and Cucumber. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and create executable specifications. - Ensure test cases are aligned with business requirements. - Analyze requirements and design test strategies. - Execute automated test suites and report results. - Identify and document defects and track them to resolution. - Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. - Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability. - Communicate test results and issues effectively to stakeholders. - Research and implement best practices for automation testing. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. - Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies. - Adhere to the hybrid work schedule, working both from the Pune office and remotely. - Participate in team meetings and collaborate effectively in a hybrid environment. - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Cypress automation testing. - Proficiency in writing and maintaining Cypress test scripts. - Experience with Cypress plugins and custom commands. - Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing. - Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. - Experience with various testing tools and frameworks. - Minimum 3 years of experience in BDD and Cucumber. - Proficiency in writing feature files and step definitions. - Experience in integrating Cucumber with automation frameworks. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript. - Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). - Experience with Git and version control systems. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.). Preferred Skills : - Experience with API testing (Postman, Rest Assured). - Knowledge of performance testing tools. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Qualifications : - Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in software testing1 or automation are a plus. - Immediate Availability : Must be available for immediate joining. - Location : Must be based in Pune or Mumbai and willing to work in a hybrid mode in Pune. - Experience : Must have a minimum of 5 years of total experience, with 3 years of relevant Cypress, BDD, and Cucumber experience. - Communication : Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Proactive : Ability to work independently and proactively identify and resolve issues.
