Quality Assurance/Python Test Engineer

Job Title : QA Python Tester Pytest & API Testing Location : Bangalore [Hybrid] Job Type : Full-time Experience : 5-8 years Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Python Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python-based testing frameworks (especially pytest), working knowledge of API testing, and proficiency with tools like PyCharm. Youll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our applications by developing and executing automated test cases and collaborating closely with the development and product teams. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using pytest. - Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or directly through test scripts. - Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand requirements and identify test scenarios. - Execute test cases, analyze results, and report bugs using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). - Set up and manage test environments for both manual and automated testing. - Ensure test coverage, traceability, and quality of deliverables. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and Skills & Qualifications : - 5 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation. - Strong proficiency in Python, particularly with pytest for test automation. - Experience with API testing (RESTful services, JSON/XML payloads). - Comfortable working in PyCharm or similar IDEs. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (e.g., Git). - Experience with test management and bug tracking tools. - Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork to Have : - Experience with Docker and containerized test environments. - Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust). - Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Behave, Lettuce). - Experience testing microservices-based applications.
