Java Engineering Manager - Spring Boot/Microservices Architecture

Key Responsibilities : - Lead a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and career development support. - Drive the design, architecture, and development of scalable backend services and APIs. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, QA, DevOps, and UI/UX to deliver high-quality software solutions. - Own the delivery and execution of complex software projects with a focus on performance, security, and scalability. - Ensure adherence to best engineering practices, including agile methodologies, clean code, and continuous integration. - Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technology roadmaps. - Mentor team members through code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions. - Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovation-driven team culture. Required Skills & Experience : - 9 to 11 years of total experience in software development with a strong background in Java/J2EE technologies. - Experience in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL). - Hands-on experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Experience leading teams or managing people (formal or informal) for at least 2 years. - Sound understanding of software engineering principles, SDLC, agile/scrum methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. - Strong communication and stakeholder management Qualifications : - Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). - Exposure to frontend technologies is a plus (React/Angular). - Prior experience in a diverse and inclusive work environment. - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
