Farm Manager/Grower

A Hydroponic and open land crop farm based outside East London in the Eastern Cape is seeking to employ a dynamic individual as a Grower/Manager. Skills and qualifications required Degree or formal qualifications in agriculture would be advantageous /min 5 years experience in horticulture Thorough experience in crop management from start to finish Fertigation experience and knowledge of fertilisers and management of irrigation using an automated system The ability to manage a 2.5 ha hydroponic set up. Staff management and delegation optimising productivity in working hours (staff of up to 50 members in full season) Scouting and identifying pests and diseases and the ability to implement management plans Knowledge in managing open field crops
