Senior Cost Accountant

Job Description Job Description Job Responsibilities: Responsible for account reconciliation of physical inventories and cycle counts; ensure accurate inventory valuations and balances. Collecting and analyzing data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost. Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Prepare, analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis by customer, industry and production jobs. Completes monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting, with strict adherence to corporate deadlines and policies. Responsible for month-end financial statements, including balance sheet, income statements, cash flows, and variance analysis. Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as required. Provides support and assists with annual audits. Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedule. Bank reconciliations and cash requirements analysis; treasury processing daily and weekly including cash flow forecast. Provides backup support for accounting specialist, including customer and vendor payments and invoice processing. Provide backup support to the accounting manager as directed. Skills & Qualifications Manufacturing experience with cost analysis required Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills Proficient in Excel Excellent oral and written communication skills Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Understanding of organizational accounting concepts Knowledge of ERP software Excellent attention to detail Collaboration and teamwork Understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment
