TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Manchester, New Hampshire, 03102! Pay Information $2,124 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS/ACLS/PALS/MOAB/TNCC Must-Have: Candidates must have at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience. Strong communication skills with patients and peers. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Dependability and punctuality. Description: The unit has 4 beds in a secure locked psychiatric area for placement. There are 25 procedure rooms and 8 hallway beds, utilized 24/7. The staff includes a charge RN, multiple RNs, ED Techs, and other personnel. Patient ratios are typically 4:1, with flexibility in times of acute surge. The unit is equipped with U/S IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis. The electronic medical record system used is Sunrise/Allscripts. The patient population includes those with multiple comorbidities, complicated heart conditions, DKA, sepsis, trauma, and stroke. Typical procedures include trauma and stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, U/S IV insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, EKG, psychiatric care, and cardiopulmonary care. The ideal candidate is a motivated hard worker, a creative problem solver, and has a general desire to help and care for patients. The dress code requires scrubs with no hooded shirts or sweatshirts. RNs work with policy-written protocols based on chief complaints and can order a patient workup including labs, EKG, x-rays, and medications.
