Financial Accountant

This role includes being fully responsible for payroll, statutory returns, cash flow forecasting and management, bank and monthly reporting. This position will involve close liaison with the sales and marketing team as well as the on-site management team based in Zambia. Duties and responsibilities: Full responsibility for the accounting function Weekly capturing, review and reconciliation of bank statements and petty cash accounts Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts and management of cash requirements Review, processing and posting of monthly payroll and payroll related journals Ensure all statutory returns are submitted and compliant with Zambian regulatory requirements Maintain accurate and up to date general ledger accounts, including intercompany accounts and fixed assets register Provide support in budget preparation and variance analysis Support finance related projects and ad hoc analysis as required Minimum requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience in a full function financial accounting role Experience managing finance for hospitality, tourism or multi location operations beneficial Strong understanding of payroll, VAT, tax and statutory regulations Proficient in accounting software Experience in dealing with international operations and intercompany transactions as well as currencies SAIPA / SAICA registration preferred
