Maintenace Technician

Seemann Composites LLC has an opening for a full-time Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant facilities, HVAC units and equipment to support production. The Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.

Job Requirements:
• Performing routine maintenance and maintaining equipment
• Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls
• Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
• Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests
• Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery
• Check the performance of machinery
• Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed
• Adjust equipment and reset or calibrate sensors and controls
• Rebuild basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Participate in some maintenance to buildings and grounds
• Be available for overtime when necessary
• Work shift work as required.

Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• A variety of skills in all-phases of maintenance and electrical work
• Industrial mechanical experience
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic system
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to read a tape measure, calculate volume and use precise measurements
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Basic electrical skills
• Basic mechanical skills
• Must have the ability to problem solve
• Be detail oriented when performing tasks
• Possess good hand-eye coordination
• Resume detailing education and work history required for consideration
• Steady work history

Essential Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work with prolonged standing, bending, and working in cramped areas and working on roofs, from ladders, man-lifts and on scaffolding at various heights
Ability to do physical work, including lifting, climbing, regular use of stairs and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to work in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty
Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms.
Prior to employment, applicants will have to successfully complete a criminal background check, pre-employment physical and drug test.
