Group Food and Beverage Development Manager

KZN - BALLITO We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Group Food and Beverage Development Manager to join our team! If you are passionate about the food and beverage industry, have strong culinary knowledge, and are adept at managing operations, we want to hear from you. This role will focus on driving excellence in food and beverage development across our properties, collaborating with suppliers, and contributing to revenue-generating initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Recipe Development : Design and develop innovative and profitable menus, ensuring high-quality standards and cost-effective production. Cost of Sales Management : Understanding and managing cost of sales to ensure budget adherence and profitability. On-site Training : Provide training and mentoring to property teams on culinary techniques, food quality, and standards. System Training & Support (Micros) : Ensure staff are proficient in using Micros systems, offering system support and troubleshooting when necessary. Collaboration with Properties & Suppliers: Work closely with on-site property teams and suppliers to drive initiatives that enhance customer experience and generate revenue. Event Support: Provide support during functions/events when needed, ensuring food and beverage services exceed expectations. Reporting: Prepare accurate reports on food and beverage performance, including sales, costs, and other key metrics. Negotiation Skills: Demonstrate strong negotiation abilities to secure favorable deals with suppliers, vendors, and partners. Requirements: Experience: Proven experience in a senior culinary or food and beverage management role. Personal Attributes: · Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven. · Excellent communication and negotiation skills. · Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. · Travel: Able to travel to various properties as required. · License: Valid drivers license is essential. · Location: Based in Ballito, with flexibility to travel frequently.
