FINANCIAL MANAGER / SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and oversee the migration of Excel-based pooling account models into Palbroker Manage and guide the finance team responsible for daily and transactional accounting tasks Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports Monitor and control pooling accounts, grower payments, and related reconciliations Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Prepare key financial analysis to support business decision-making Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards Strengthen and review internal controls and risk management processes Liaise with external auditors, ensuring readiness for audit and regulatory compliance Support ongoing evaluation and improvement of financial systems and processes Lead ad hoc financial projects, particularly focused on system upgrades and automation REQUIREMENTS: Completion of SAICA articles (essential) Minimum of 58 years post-articles experience in finance or accounting Strong working knowledge of pooling accounts and grower payment structures, preferably within the agricultural or export sectors Previous experience overseeing a finance or accounting team Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in financial modelling Experience with Palbroker or similar ERP/accounting systems (highly advantageous) Strong leadership, team development, and project management abilities Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills Ability to operate independently and manage tight deadlines Agricultural industry experience will be beneficial Willingness to travel occasionally as required A highly competitive salary package and company benefits are offered for the successful candidate.
