Locations: Noida / Gurgaon / Bangalore / Indore / Pune Experience: 5 to 7 Years Education/Qualification: BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / M.Com Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Big Data Cloud QA Engineer to join our growing quality engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical proficiency in coding, test automation, cloud environments, and big data pipelines. You will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end quality across cloud-based big data solutions through rigorous testing, framework development, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans , test scenarios , test cases , and test reports for big data cloud applications. Perform manual and automated testing for big data pipelines, cloud services, APIs, and backend components. Write and maintain code in Java or backend languages (e.g., Python, Scala) to build automation test frameworks and reusable scripts. Create and maintain automation frameworks for end-to-end testing in cloud and big data ecosystems. Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or similar libraries. Execute DB testing by writing complex SQL queries for data validation and integrity checks. Perform ETL testing to validate data flows, transformations, and consistency across systems. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or other harness tools. Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP to test applications in distributed and containerized environments. Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to understand data flow, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines. Track and manage defects using tools such as JIRA , from identification to resolution. Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and quality standards during testing. Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a Scrum environment. Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to assess scalability and reliability. Use Linux/Unix commands for test environment setup, validation, and troubleshooting. Analyze test results, identify trends, and produce detailed quality metrics and status reports for stakeholders. Mentor junior QA engineers and help establish best practices for QA processes and automation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 5 years of hands-on experience in QA, with a strong focus on big data and cloud-based applications. Solid programming experience in Java , Python , or Scala , with the ability to write and debug test code. Experience in building or extending test automation frameworks from scratch. Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational and NoSQL databases. Hands-on experience with ETL/data pipeline testing tools and practices. Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, REST-assured, SoapUI, etc. Good knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS , GCP , or Azure . Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins , GitHub Actions, or similar systems. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and related QA practices. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems for navigating and troubleshooting. Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
