Scientific Data Curator

About the role: We are looking for a detail-oriented Curator to join our dynamic team. This role involves expertise in biological data curation and a deep understanding of transcriptomics, proteomics, and various single-cell omics technologies. Key Responsibilities: 1) Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate seamlessly with bioinformaticians, ML/AI engineers, and programmers. 2) Curate and annotate biological datasets from diverse omics technologies, including transcriptomics, proteomics, and methylomics. Standardize biological data by applying established ontologies. 3) Maintain high-quality curation and ensure consistency across multiple sources to produce reliable results. 4) Conduct NGS data analysis using in-house pipelines and oversee their maintenance. 5) Learn and integrate ML/AI techniques into ongoing projects. Qualifications: 1) A degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in bioinformatics tools and databases for data curation. 2) Basic knowledge of modern technologies for storing, processing, and managing biological data. 3) A solid academic background with a strong interest in omics data curation and integration. 4) Proficiency in R or Python programming is a plus, with experience in data analysis and visualization being advantageous. 5) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in handling complex biological datasets. 6 Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new bioinformatics tools, databases, and computational methods.
