Catastrophic Injury Senior Associate Location: Birmingham (Hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days WFH) Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE Bonus Excellent Benefits My client is an international law firm, and they are looking to recruit a Catastrophic Injury Associate for their expanding Catastrophic Injury department in Birmingham. An ideal role for Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor ready to step up into Catastrophic Injury work, or a Claimant Solicitor looking to make the move to a top-tier defendant practice. The idea for the role is to have the successful candidate progress to Legal Director. You’ll be working on a varied caseload of complex, high-value files—including RTA, EL/PL, and indemnity matters—alongside Legal 500-recognised Partners. This is an excellent opportunity to assist on and run large loss claims, gaining hands-on experience with some of the most challenging and rewarding files in the industry.What you’ll be doing: Managing your own caseload of Catastrophic Injury files Supporting senior fee earners on significant, high-value catastrophic claims Conducting liability investigations, policy coverage reviews, and quantum assessments Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their development Building strong relationships with longstanding clients and helping grow new ones What we’re looking for: Previous defendant personal injury experience (Catastrophic Injury not essential) OR claimant solicitors looking to transition into defendant work Confident, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills Why join?
