Job Description

Our client, a reputable trade union, is seeking a Labour Relations Officer to join their team at the Regional Office. The successful candidate will assist the Regional Manager in the execution of all labour relations functions in the Region and play a key role in promoting fair employment practices in line with labour legislation and union objectives. Requirements: Relevant qualification Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in labour relations Proficient in MS Office Strong verbal and written communication skills High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism Strong planning, research, and drafting skills Key Responsibilities: Assist the Regional Manager with labour relations functions and implementation of policy Promote the objectives of the trade union as outlined in the Constitution Ensure that members' rights and interests are protected Draft formal documents such as correspondence, affidavits, statements of case, notices of motion, appeal notices, and reports Liaise with CCMA, SALGBC, municipal officials, utility companies, and related stakeholders Prepare and conduct conciliation hearings Handle service delivery complaints and provide formal responses Personal Attributes: Team player with strong interpersonal skills Analytical, disciplined, and innovative Honest, reliable, and professional Able to work independently and under pressure Excellent problem-solving skills IMPORTANT: Applications close 30 April 2025 If you did not receive feedback within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful Only applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be considered Only candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
