Title-Registered Nurse- Behavioral Health

Location: Columbus, GA

Must-Haves

•   Associate's degree in nursing Required

• BLS- American Heart Association

•   Valid Ga RN License/ or Multi State/Compact RN license

•   1.5+ years of bedside nursing experience

Job Description

• Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director, perform nursing patient care duties for the assigned unit or department.

• Plan, provide, and evaluate total nursing care in accordance with the established patient care philosophy.

• Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

• Relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care, maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; and participate in all phases of education.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 Associates degree in Nursing  -Required

 Bachelor’s degree in Nursing - Preferred

Required Skills

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

 Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire preferred

• ACLS-preferred
