Overview
Perform total productive maintenance operations to ensure continual operation of equipment and facility. Work under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor to assist with the execution of all plumbing and maintenance projects and requests for the Kaman campus in a wide range of types, sizes and levels of complexity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the preventative maintenance with work orders on manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, grinding, honing and facilities equipment.
- Assist to all types of plumbing projects/emergencies that may come up on campus.
- Measure, design and cut pipe material
- Assemble valves, fittings, and tubes
- Assist with the maintenance of the boiler room.
- Assists with facility projects that may include but not limited to moving equipment, assembling, clean-ups, inventory and parts organization, etc.
- Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.
- Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contributes to 5 S program in work area.
- Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma / GED
Experience: 1+ years manufacturing experience.
