Summary:

The Lead Facilities Electrical Specialist oversees all maintenance related activities at the CT SCA Pharma Facility. This position will be very hands-on but will also require good management skills and leadership in all aspects of maintenance.


Essential functions:

  • Operate and maintain a state-of-the-art building and all associated pharmaceutical equipment including, but not limited to, cleanrooms, environmental/mechanical, electrical (switch gear, distribution switch boards, controllers, and panels), safety (sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, valves) and plumbing fixtures.
  • Lead the facility maintenance team to ensure that work requests are completed in a timely manner and properly documented in CMMS.
  • Primary point of contact for facility maintenance work.
  • Responsible for CMMS system for PMs, work orders and inventory control.
  • Oversees the preventative maintenance program to ensure that the building exterior, interiors, and systems are operating properly and repaired.
  • Identify building, electrical, and/or mechanical safety issues and take appropriate corrective action to ensure cGMP compliance.
  • Test and troubleshoot systems and components related to equipment, including HVAC systems, custom automated production equipment, and other operational components relying on electricity to operate.
  • Perform general electrical repairs, modifications, and installations for both the facility and associated equipment up to and including 3 phase 480V.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 6+ years of electrical installation/repair experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with a facilities maintenance program, specifically in asset and spare part management.
  • Licensed Electrician or similar experience/licensing
  • Experience with eMaint or similar CMMS and digital spare part inventory management.
  • Experience with automated equipment (PLC's, robots, packaging equipment)

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to perform any related maintenance function at all levels of skill and importance.
  • Ability to lift, carry and/or exert force up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently, up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to withstand prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking is required. Must be able to ascend and descend a ladder often.
  • Ability to perform duties while bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, reaching overhead, and standing may be necessary.
  • Understanding of regulations and requirements pertaining to cGMP Manufacturing Plant and 503B Outsourcing facility
