Description:

Commercial and Residential Management Group is looking for a Maintenance Superintendent with amazing team-leading ability, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service to work at the 155-unit apartment community of the Burlington Tower located in Downtown Portland. You will be responsible for providing and overseeing all structural, mechanical maintenance, janitorial, and grounds care for a CRMG-managed property ensuring a safe, secure, and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.


As the Maintenance Superintendent, you ensure all building systems adhere to safety regulations and codes. This involves conducting regular inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing any issues promptly. You will oversee and perform a range of tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, and HVAC repairs for the property.



Location: Burlington Tower (Downtown Portland, Pearl District)

Hourly Rate: $28-$34/hr.

Schedule: FT, Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Weekly Contracted Hours: 40 hrs.

Additional Compensation: A monthly $50.00 cell phone stipend, bonus eligibility

Requirements:

What you will bring as the Maintenance Superintendent:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related field.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Certification in Building System Maintenance (SMC) is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge and experience of building systems including HVAC, and fire safety systems.
  • Experience and advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • A positive attitude with the ability to motivate and support all members of your property team, modeling the behavior of how to get the job done when it needs to be done!
  • Ability to teach others how to perform maintenance tasks while always modeling safety first.
  • Excellent time management skills, identify and communicate priorities, delegate appropriately, and effectively manage all resources.
  • Availability for after-hours and inclement weather emergencies
  • A current and valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Advanced knowledge of all city, county, state, and federal landlord, tenant, and fair housing laws; refrain from all illegal discrimination practices.
