Position Summary:

As the FP&A Manager at Delta Defense LLC, you'll report directly to the VP of Finance and play a pivotal role in steering the company's financial strategy. Take the lead in building out a robust FP&A organization. You'll refine and enhance forecasting methods and stengthen our annual budgeting process.

You'll oversee monthly departmental financial reviews, support our quarterly forecasting, and spearhead the annual budgeting process. Your exceptional organizational and time management skills will ensure efficiency and accuracy in all financial reporting and forecasting activities. As you work with senior leaders across the entire organization, you will serve as a key player in our financial team's success.

In this role, you'll implement strategic financial frameworks that support the company's growth and stability. Your expertise will guide the enhancement of financial forecasting, ensuring that our budgeting processes are not only efficient but also aligned with our long-term goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and drive the financial strategy at the heart of our growth minded organization.

This position requires candidate to live within a commutable distance to our headquarters location in West Bend, WI. Hybrid schedule with in-office presence required 2 to 3 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review of financial performance reporting across all business functions, including monthly analysis of actual-budget variances and key performance indicators.
  • Identify financial trends and leading indicators impacting the business and provide feedback to department leaders.
  • Optimize and lead the quarterly financial forecasting process, working closely with business leaders on projected key metrics.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Prepare and review monthly cash flow projections.
  • Develop models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and integrity.
  • Provide critical feedback and develop action plans for direct reports to ensure performance targets are met through the continuous improvement process.
  • Miscellaneous special projects and duties as requested.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field required.
  • At least 6 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Financial modeling, specifically around forecasting & strategy.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to leadership.
  • Strong computer navigation skills and proficiency in software and internet functions.
  • Robust experience with spreadsheets preferred; Excel or Google Sheets.
