Puget Sound Pipe is a premier wholesale distributor of pipe, valves and fittings in the Pacific Northwest & Alaska. We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join the team as an Expeditor at our Anchorage, AK location. This person would be responsible for communicating with our vendors to insure the on-time shipment of orders to our customers. We operate one of the most organized and well stocked Warehouse and Pipe Yards in Anchorage. Supplying Pipe, Valves, and Fittings to the Oil & Gas, Mechanical Contracting and Plumbing industries.

Hired candidates will be working onsite at the branch location. There is no relocation assistance available.

Expeditor starting at $20.00-$25.00/hour depending on experience.

Expeditor Basic Duties:

• Check due-dates on new orders placed
• Continually communicate with vendors, to insure on-time shipments
• Communicate information to fellow team members
• Report information into internal computer system and customer data base
• File old / shipped orders accordingly
• Complete Excel spreadsheet reports for customer as required
• Answer phones and distribute calls
• Special projects as assigned

Expeditor Desired Experience/Skills:

• Outgoing with positive attitude
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task
• Motivated and/or desire to achieve high success rate of on-time shipment
• Work independently and as a team player
• Strong oral communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Working knowledge of MS Windows and Excel a plus

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalency
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Pass Background Check
