Job Description

Position Summary:

The Technical Trainer will conduct, develop, plan and evaluate training programs for Putzmeister dealers, customers and end user operators. Employees in this position will be required to do some travel during the regular course of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain training schedules, enrollment, rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Conduct training in a facilitated style in accordance with adult learning principles.
  • Establish procedures for following up on all training events. Implement and track pre and post class participant’s knowledge gain.
  • Act as a facilitator when training is conducted by other sources (technical service reps).
  • Compile monthly reports and presentations on training course and program progress.
  • Conduct training at satellite Putzmeister branches, customer and dealer locations, etc. in the field as necessary
  • Create online training program
  • Create modular training curriculum
  • Develop self help videos for expert app
  • Stay abreast emerging technologies and strategies for training
  • Investigate and implement pricing strategy

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with mobile hydraulic construction equipment.
  • Ability to develop and design technical training material.
  • Proven excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer aptitude and demonstrated computer proficiency in word processing and presentation software applications.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Available for frequent travel.

Education/Certification/Training:

  • BS/BA degree
  • Continuing education in training.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office environment; occasionally exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals.
