Trinity Health's Sports Medicine Department has experienced substantial growth in the past year due to the development of new Athletic Programs at Minot State University (MSU) and the arrival of new providers to our care system. We anticipate our growth will continue and add value to our patient care through the skills and capabilities of our athletic training staff.

Trinity Health Sports Medicine and MSU Athletics (NCAA DII in the NSIC Conference and ACHA DI Men’s and Women’s Hockey) are searching for 3 Full-Time Athletic Trainers. Lead positions with primary assignments for football, hockey and basketball are available. There are opportunities to work in other sports during the calendar year.

POSITION SUMMARY

The athletic trainer provides sports medicine services to athletes involved in competition at contracted events, including practices, games, matches, and meets. The athletic trainer will also participate in rehabilitation education programs for Trinity Health staff, the community, health education, and other organizations in northwest North Dakota. The athletic trainer will also assist in developing and monitoring quality management activities.

  • Establish a good rapport with other healthcare workers and customers
  • Be flexible about changing work environment and function well under pressure.
  • Teach one-on-one to large groups of people
  • Ability to address the needs of athletes of all ages by assessment, treatment, or referral to the medical personnel competent in their care

Licenses and Certifications Required

  • BOC certification
  • Current ND Athletic Training Licensure by time of hire
  • CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire. Must have prior to seeing patients
  • Valid driver's license or transportation available for assigned events
