Job Description

About Us

Sail's passion is operating multifamily assets at peak performance. We believe in an all-encompassing, top-tier, and concierge-focused property management approach where all aspects of marketing and operations are performed with precision and result in the best possible outcome. We consider positive resident experiences, proactive problem-solving, and optimum operating results a baseline requirement of our organization. We build community with the residents who live in our properties and partnerships with our owners. Relationships are the heart of who we are and what we do.

Who We Are Looking For

Are you a tenacious go-getter who connects easily with others? Do you have a desire for the sales high that comes from closing deals and blowing expectations out of the water? Do you often beat/exceed your quotas and want to take your career to the next level?

We are looking for the best of the best to join our crew. This is an incredible opportunity to join an exponentially growing organization that's making waves in multi-family marketing, leasing and property management. We are an innovative, values-driven team with a focus on providing remarkable outcomes to owners. For the right person, this role could have strategic advancement opportunities within our organization to grow and build our leasing strategy and team.

The Corporate Leasing Specialist will work across the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area at a variety of new Class A/Luxury properties. Your focus will be answering incoming calls and web inquiries promptly, listening and building rapport with prospective residents, and knowing how to assist each individual with selecting a new home. More than just a salesperson, you will be an advisor: understanding first and then offering solutions that appeal to the prospective resident. You'll provide engaging and thoughtful tours, know key differentiators about the properties you are leasing, and be keenly familiar with pricing, value, and market position. Your responsive follow through will be a critical component of ensuring prospective residents are communicated with often and expeditiously. You can multi-task, you are organized, and you are polished and professional!

The ideal candidate for this position will have had prior leasing experience and/or sales experience. You bring a positive, upbeat and energetic personality that thrives on connecting with others and learning their story. Through intentional listening and question asking, you have an innate ability to guide people into the right home and close the deal. You radiate creative problem-solving with a drive to bring your personal best each day. You have a natural business sense and don't mind going above and beyond in customer service.

Working Hours

While most of the work for this role will be during normal business hours, this position will offer tours to prospective residents by appointment during non-business hours. With communities needing extra leasing assistance and lease-ups for new properties, it will require occasional evening and weekend appointments. For our new lease-up in North St. Paul, it will be required to attend the North St. Paul car show on Fridays.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to phone and email leads promptly and professionally. Availability to respond to inquiries on Saturdays is required.
  • Develop strong familiarity with the properties, pricing, amenities and surrounding communities.
  • Network within the community, developing a strong rapport and connection with businesses, residents, and future residents.
  • Pre-qualify all prospects, set appointments, and follow up on all leads.
  • Lead Hard Hat tours during the construction phase.
  • Comply with Fair Housing laws.

  • At least 2 years of sales or leasing experience required.
  • Licensed Real Estate agent preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, especially during the high demand leasing season.
  • Familiarity with Yardi (CRM) preferred.
  • Business attire is required.
