HOURS

Currently hiring for 2nd shift, 3:00pm – 11:00pm Monday - Friday. Overtime as needed.

WAGE SCALE (Including $0.75 shift differential)

Cylinder Tech I: $18.75

Cylinder Tech II: $19.75

Continued rate increases through compensation tier program, ask for details!

JOB TASKS

Assists Production/Engraving Room:

• Stage the correct production cylinders, press rolls/sleeves/ink rollers for upcoming orders.
• Return production cylinders/press rolls/sleeves/ink rollers to storage racks and or storage machine after completion of production orders.
• Inspect condition of production cylinders/press rolls/sleeves/ink rollers for wear, defects, damage and cleanliness, before and after use.
• Provide Lab/Production cylinders and base stock to the Engraving room upon request.

Maintains Cylinders/Sleeves/Press Rolls/ Ink Rollers:

• Perform incoming & periodic quality inspection and document results.
• Use a variety of hand tools and measuring devices to perform inspections.
• Ability to learn to identify defects and damage on cylinders/press rolls/sleeves/ink rollers that would cause print quality issues on the printing press.
• Ability to operate the Flexo Wash cleaning system and cylinder storage machinery. Ability to learn and operate lift trucks, hoists and overhead cranes, used to maintain cylinder/sleeves/ press rolls/ink rollers.

SKILLS

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to stay focused and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literacy including SAP, Excel spreadsheets, Access database and email.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision. Must be self-motivated and be able to think on your feet.
• Must be a good communicator and be a team player.
