Join our team and be a part of the action as an Raceday Security Officer at the Iowa Speedway this summer! We are looking for Special Event Security Officers to work shifts June 14-16 and July 12-14.
PAY INFORMATION
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour (shifts available at varying rates not below $16.00 per hour)
Non-exempt position (eligible for overtime when applicable under state law)
THE POSITION
The responsibility of Special Event Security Guards executes safety and security objectives as outlined by the Company's policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions
- As an Indycar Race Security Officer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of all attendees during the event. Your duties include:
- Safeguarding valuable assets for businesses and vendors involved in the race.
- Enforcing rules and maintaining order to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
- Maintaining a vigilant presence and promptly reporting any issues or potential hazards to the Special Event Security Supervisor.
- Conducting regular patrols and maintaining clear communication with the security team.
- Familiarizing yourself with event logistics, rules, and regulations to provide accurate information to guests.
- Delivering exceptional customer service, including offering directions and answering questions about the race venue and local attractions.
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions to ensure the well-being of race attendees.
- Adhering to dress code requirements and responsibly handling company equipment.
Qualification Requirements
- Provide credible references and I-9 Employment Eligibility Documentation (legal eligibility to work in the U.S.).
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform job tasks in an extremely professional manner in a customer service driven industry.
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to stand and walk for several hours per shift.
- Constant awareness of surroundings.
- Reliable transportation and proximity to site(s).
- Basic computer skills.
- Exemplary customer service.
- Positive attitude.
- Keep an energetic and positive demeanor in any situation.
- Punctuality, never late.
- Must own a smartphone for scheduling and clocking in / out.
- Experience in CPR, first aid, firefighting and crowd control is preferred, but not required.
- Previous security, military, EMS or law enforcement experience preferred, but not required.
