Site Electrician DESCRIPTION:

The Site Electrician will work with the facility and maintenance team and work with operators and engineering for new equipment installations and fabricate maintenance schedule. Install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems at FM Industries Arizona sites.

Site Electrician ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems at FM Industries Arizona sites
  • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment
  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code
  • Work with EH&S to ensure guidelines of EPA and OSHA are followed in departments
  • Work with operators and engineering for new equipment installations and fabricate maintenance schedule
  • Work directly with Shop managers to define and schedule maintenance to allow for maximum production
  • Schedule machine moves and requirements, working with shop managers and upper management on cost
  • Verify & maintain facility systems such as Critical Safety Systems, lighting, air compressors, hoist & cranes, robotic & CNC equipment
  • Use trend analysis and best practices to create predictive maintenance to anticipate failures and repair problems
  • Manage the CMMS System and preform all purchase request for the maintenance team
  • Keep stock of repair supplies and reduce spending of maintenance though planning and quoting
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices

Site Electrician EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • State or federal certified electrical apprenticeship, OR possessing the equivalent combination of education, related experience and demonstrated ability
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of journeyman-level work experience in an industrial electrical environment with technical and specialized knowledge. Proof of State C-11 or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or semiconductor industry is a plus
  • Capable of working on multiple tasks and responding effectively to demanding deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and adept at using Microsoft Word, Outlook
  • Basic Reading, writing, and math and ability to read blueprints or technical diagrams
  • Self-directed, well organized, and motivated
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills

Site Electrician PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:

  • Standing for long periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Reaching overhead, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing instructions and sounds.
  • Repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder movements.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Site Electrician WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:

  • High noise levels while working near operating machines.
  • Physical hazards while working near moving equipment, mechanical parts and electrical lines.
  • Possible breathing of fumes, odors, dust, and mist.
  • Fast paced.
