Job Description

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have extensive finance and accounting experience at a financial institution. This position will be responsible for managing and administering the bank’s treasury function fiduciary risk management, ALCO, budgeting, and investment portfolio oversight.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee risk management including liquidity, interest rate risk and investments.
  • Participate in and implement ALCO tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in writing quarterly earnings releases.
  • Validate financial statements.
  • Assist in completing regulatory reporting including Call Report, Y9C, Y6 and 2900.
  • Develop reporting.
  • Control over cash management levels and reporting.
  • Plan and implement Company’s investment activity and make best investment decisions.
  • Participate in planning and implementing financing strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with correspondent banks including Fed and FHLB.
  • Budget development communication and monitoring.
  • Projecting ongoing financial performance.
  • Implement relevant policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and forecasts.
  • Identify and document reasons for budget variances.
  • Assist in projects as they arise.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven 7+ years of experience in balance sheet management.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills required.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success.
  • Required regular attendance at the FineMark location designated in this job description, during regular business hours, or assigned hours for the position, is required. This is not a remote work position.

This position may occasionally require that a person climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, grasp and/or feel.

Visual Acuity Requirements. Close visual acuity and the ability to adjust focus, with or without correction, are required to perform activities such as, viewing a computer monitor or written materials and documents; reading; writing; preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; close visual inspection. Some distance vision and color vision may be necessary.

Environmental Conditions. A person is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and only exposed to moderate noise; they may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts or machinery such as a copier/printer.
