Senior System Administrator - Vandenberg, CA

LJL is looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator (ISSE) to join our team in Vandenberg, CA. As a member of the Cybersecurity Engineering team, you would join other smart, talented, and dedicated engineers that pride themselves in analyzing the most difficult challenges for the launch-test range while developing and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the US Space Force and their customers. In this role, you will support operation and sustainment of mission-critical systems that launch and track DoD, civil, commercial and international space launch rockets.

This role is 100% onsite.

The proposed salary range for this role is $110,000 - $145,000 depending on experience and other factors.

Position Duties Include

• Develop and validate RMF packages to obtain an ATO.
• Lead Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities for DoD and Intelligence Systems in accordance with Risk Management Framework and ICD-503 guidelines.
• Support offensive architecture analysis and design of defense-in-depth solutions.
• Develop and assess system security plans including, security concepts of operation, risk management matrix, security control traceability matrix, security test procedures, and plan of action and milestones.
• Conduct and/or analyze vulnerability assessments to validate system compliance with RMF controls and DISA Security Technical Information Guidelines (STIGS).
• Analyze static code scans and dynamic code scans to validate Application Security and Development STIG compliance.
• Lead and coordinate security test event teams to achieve accreditation milestones.
• Verify and validate vulnerability resolutions and/or mitigations.
• Effectively communicate work plans, milestones (POAM), and obstacles to clients; able to communicate, explain, or defend ideas or information clearly. Listen to others and recognize potential miscommunications, offer clarity.
• Develop system security plans, procedures, and other security documentation.
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM field (may be substituted with additional experience and a lower-level degree, such as AA)
• IASAE II or III (Ex: CASP, CISSP, etc.)
• Active Secret clearance at minimum
• 5+ years' experience in the below requirements or related
• NIST 800-160, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253
• Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Configuring networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and examining the configurations for compliance/security issues
• DISA STIGS
• Protocol analyzers (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc)
• Scanning tools (Retina, Nessus, NMAP, etc)
• Intrusion Detection Systems or Intrusion Prevention Systems (e.g. Snort, Bro, OSSEC, etc.)
• Security Information and Event Managers (e.g. Log Rhythm, ArcSight, ELK, etc.)
