Database Software Engineer

Job Description – Database Software Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand and analyze Massively parallel (MPP) Architecture-based databases like – Greenplum.
• Analysis and performance tuning with PostgreSQL queries as workload.
• Work at the systems (kernel, if required) level to optimize and/or tune the overall system performance (memory mgmt, file system & and IOs generated to the storage device) with SQL queries as workload.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• In-depth understanding of database systems and knowledge of PostgreSQL query processing.
• Rich experience in MPP databases or distributed systems is a big plus.
• Experience with File Systems, Object Storage, or similar technologies
• Experience in Linux I/O, Operating Systems, and File Systems
