Job Description

The Sr. Business Analyst is a role that draws on advertising and data technology knowledge to drive strategic operations for the Ads + Data Platforms pillar, including rationalizing software lease and development investment, the forecasting and reconciliation of spend across vendors, supporting alignment of resources and financials against priorities and participating in the pillar’s overarching business planning process.

This role will partner closely with stakeholders in product, finance, portfolio, GPM, HR and sales to consolidate the Ads + Data Platforms organization’s resource management, informing AOP/ LRP inputs, quarterly forecasts and actuals.

This role will blend quantitative analysis to provide guidance on key business and operational decisions, while coordinating multi-functional groups to drive operational efficiencies and hands on management of high priority, strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include:


  • Partner with product and partnerships stakeholders to provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations during the evaluation of build vs lease across the pillar’s product portfolio.
  • Provide cost analysis and financial summarization to Ads + Data Platforms leadership during critical vendor evaluation contracting.
  • Align with tech and sales finance stakeholders to drive ongoing analysis of launched product ROI.
  • Coalesce the Ads + Data Platform pillar’s inputs into the financial planning process (quarterly forecasts/ actuals, AOP, LRP), including forecasting usage of critical software and professional services vendors.
  • Maintain a comprehensive repository of pillar’s vendors and forecasted vs actuals spend.
  • Support Director, Strategic Operations, in partnership with HR, on headcount & resourcing prioritization across Ads + Data Platforms pillars.
  • Contribute to multifunctional, strategic initiatives as surfaced via day-to-day business needs (e.g. organizing executive presentations, contractor onboarding, cross organizational communication).
  • Identify and execute opportunities to drive organizational cost efficiencies.
  • Contribute to the definition process for organization’s yearly and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Report out on OKRs and other KPIs that drive organizational strategic decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee efficiencies, morale, and overall experience as an employee with Ads + Data Platforms at TWDC.
  • Defines, launches, and drives structural improvements, organizational goals, and a variety of strategic efforts, relying on technical and data analytic skills and expertise.
  • Drives continuous improvement by helping drive technology strategy across and within teams, clarity around operational framework, effectiveness and cohesion around initiatives including measurement, management and communication of work.
  • Provides business critical insights, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams successfully implement and move strategic initiatives forward.

Skills/ Expertise/ Experience:


  • BA/BS or equivalent experience.
  • MBA or Masters Degree (preferred).
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in business planning, financial analysis, or technology sector.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in most areas of the professional function and in-depth specialization in some. Serves as subject matter expert and "go to" person for guidance.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $102,500 to $137,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
