The Regional Logistics Specialist plays a leadership role on the Warehouse Operations Team and the local market where they are located demonstrating best practice in all Warehouse and Inventory Management processes. The role is responsible for market support of field operations, logistics and warehouse operations, as well as staging and configuration tasks. This role is also responsible for regional inventory health including inventory audits and inventory processes. This position reports to the Logistics Director and has a close working relationship with Operations, Project Managers, Field Engineers, NCC, Purchasing and Procurement Group.

This role will perform all activities in the warehouse related to the receiving, unpacking, verifying, recording of incoming shipments and outgoing to support Operations. Responsible for maintaining organization and inventory accuracy in the field offices under their responsibility, the Regional Logistics Specialist works with little to no supervision while managing all inventory operations according to standards and best practice. This position reports to the Logistics Director and has a close working relationship with Operations, Project Managers, Field Engineers, NCC, Purchasing and Procurement Group.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as “first point of contact” for field support related to logistics and inventory escalations and will drive efficiency in business operations.
  • Timely and accurate processing of inventory transactions.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as packing lists, manifests and invoices, to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Perform transactions in the inventory system for all material movement through the region including – receiving, stocking and deploying.
  • Available to process critical spare requests received after hours to support network failures.
  • Lead training events to standardize processes across the Operations group.
  • Perform special projects and tasks as assigned while meeting and exceeding Warehouse Operations standards.
  • Maintain an organized and standard setup of all warehouse inventory according to the Warehouse Operations standards and best practice.
  • Drive inventory accuracy and integrity through cycle counts and physical inventories in local field offices as well as regional sites - requiring some day and overnight travel.
  • Participates and contributes in team meetings.
  • Operate within and promotes a safety culture in all warehouse functions


Qualifications

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good computer and software skills to include; word processing, email, spreadsheets and electronic presentation programs;
  • Experience utilizing material handling equipment including operation of forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trailers and box trucks.
  • Able to multitask, have a sense of urgency and follow through.
  • Be able to work both in a warehouse and office environment and capable of handling and moving heavy materials, lifting up to 70 pounds unassisted.


Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain or other related field required. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations is required.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma is preferred.


Base pay range: $50,500-$67,300, commensurate with experience
