Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a oracle -OnBase Enterprise Content Management Developer for a 100% remote Contract position. The client is looking for some with online advertising over social/email marketing experience.



Required Skills:

JOB SUMMARY

The OnBase Developer is responsible for developing and supporting the Enterprise Content Management system. They will analyze, develop, setup, configure, manage and maintain the OnBase Enterprise Content Management System, including configurations, business rules, process flow, data imports and translation, and all related documentation.

Additionally, they will analyze business requirements to determine optimal technical solutions and lead enterprise-wide workflow development projects primarily utilizing the OnBase ECM system.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:

• Design, develop, and implement workflows using the OnBase Workflow (WF) and Software Development Kit (SDK), focusing on automation and streamlining of business processes.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of OnBase WF/SDK solutions.

• Provide technical and functional support.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system administrators, and project managers, to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Ensure compliance with industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the HigherEd sector, while developing and maintaining software applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OnBase WF/SDK, working closely with end-users, IT support teams, and vendors if necessary.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in OnBase technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in workflow automation within the HigherEd environment.

• Collaborate with Project managers, Admins and other developers to integrate OnBase WF/SDK applications with existing systems and third-party applications to achieve seamless interoperability.

• Document and maintains technical specifications, architectural designs, standard operating procedures and provide training to technical support staff and users, as appropriate.

• Participates in system testing during software and infrastructure upgrade cycles, following test plans and documenting results.

• Provides high quality and timely support, including responding to incident/ problem tickets and troubleshooting errors and issues with databases for enterprise systems.

• Performs other duties as requested.


EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree required. Additional job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

EXPERIENCE

Over five years of relevant experience in OnBase ECM integrating with other applications.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - The following are essential (must have strong background to be able to work without assistance):

  • Experience developing and maintaining OnBase ECM system, with experience in the following domains:
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing workflows using OnBase Workflow (WF) and Software Development Kit (SDK).
  • Workflow design, configuration and development.
  • OnBase Configuration including Document Imaging, Document Import, Directory Import, COLD, and Document Composition
  • Document Management, Capture, and Workflow.
  • Form design and development.
  • Application administration.
  • Experience on OnBase clients including OnBase Thick Client, Unity Client and Web Client.
  • Experience with integrating OnBase with third-party systems using OnBase Web Services, API, and integration frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and other relevant data interchange formats.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git, and experience with DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of software development and project management methodologies and best practices from requirements gathering through quality assurance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (including ability to present ideas in user- friendly, business-friendly and technical language) and interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and strong commitment to working collegially and collaboratively with constituents at all levels in a diverse and distributed environment.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment, including related software and email.


Additional/Desirable Skills & Abilities


  • The following OnBase certifications are prefered: System Administration, Workflow Engineer, and API.
  • Intermediate to advanced expertise in SQL.
  • C#Programming
  • Familiarity with a ticket and project management system such as TeamDynamix, ServiceNow, or Jira
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in a higher education setting.
  • Understanding of issues surrounding HigherEd compliance.
  • Familiarity with Texas Administrative Code (TAC 202).
  • Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in application development.
