Job Description
Our client is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the US Government's mission to facilitate free trade and travel while improving border safety and security by detecting and deterring the movement of illicit radiological and nuclear materials. On this fast paced and highly collaborative project you will be part of a team that encourages contributions to the success of the project and empowering advancement in our highly successful and long-established company.
What You'll Be Doing
Performing site surveys to evaluate current site conditions for new design and construction. For the Site Survey you will be part of, and may lead, a survey team that visits U.S. Land, Air and Sea Ports of entry to determine site conditions to support the design of subsequent construction of Radiation Portal Monitors.
Upon completion of a site survey, you will provide a complete control system design for the site including all the various facility systems. This includes layout, specifications, equipment indices, datasheets, power and cabinet drawings. You will be coordinating the design between the survey teams and establishing standard design for use across the various sites.
Systems May Include
480-208/120V Generators and UPS backup power Knowledge of modern network based control systems. Knowledge of control room/stations and, backend control system (I/O, historian, VM servers, and other control system components). Knowledge of relevant standards, e.g., NFPA/NEC, UFC/UFGS ISA
