Data Center Lead Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Lead Engineer with a pay rate up to $68hr.

Remote/onsite (add address to office if onsite): Richard, TX

Work schedule: 8 - 5pm

- Plan, build and manage the existing footprint and expansion of all aspects of a data center including:

• Rack, Infrastructure, Cable Design & Management

• Device Network & IP Management

• Issue Resolution Management of Infrastructure & Network

• Asset Management

• Capacity Management

• Vendor Management

• Compliance Management

• Data Center Policy Compliance

• Dedicated to maintaining a Source of truth for the network through our NetOps Tooling

• Generate first rate technical documentation of new, existing, evolving data center and network implementation.

• Own high and low visibility issues and be accountable for resolving them.

• Troubleshoot & resolve incidents, providing excellent levels of clear communication.

• Innovate - Identify and lead continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes.

- Combined with the skills to:

• Boldly prioritize and fully complete projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.

• Mentor new or less experienced team members.

• Communicate professionally and prudently to all internal and external partners.

• Clearly articulate project status or challenges to leadership.

• With an ability to work in a hybrid environment on a distributed team using collaboration tools to stay connected.

- Candidates must meet the minimum requirements outlined.

• Minimum Requirements: (Must have Qualifications)

1. CCNP/CCIE Certification (R&S and/or DC)

2. 5+ years Operating an actual Data Center, with Operations & Production environment including Network Operation roles

3. 3+ years experience with various Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, and Cisco network operating systems

4. Strong Data Center Knowledge including Nexus Routing & Switching.

5. Strong experience in the following products / solutions:

a. Cisco Nexus 2000, 3000, 5000, 7000, 9000.

b. Catalyst 9000 switches

c. ISR 4000 and 1000 routers

d. ASA and Firepower Firewalls

e. UCS server management

6. Strong experience operating and troubleshooting complex networks with segmentation and virtualization.

7. Strong experience with implementing dynamic routing with OSPF, EIGRP and BGP

8. Experience with implementing client and site-to-site VPN solutions.

9. Experience with virtual machine networking with

10. VMWare, ESXi and, vCenter, and VM networking as well as experience with Cisco AC

11. Experience with automation and scripting including Ansible, and Python are required.
