Job Description Job Description Land Surveying Company seeking experienced Field Crew Party Chief to lead a crew in performing boundary, topographic, construction layout, mortgage and as-built surveys, utilizing land surveying equipment. REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have: Minimum 3 years experience as Land Surveying Field Crew Party Chief; High school diploma or equivalent; ability to pass a drug test; have transportation to work Monday-Friday; Must be dependable; Exhibit Safety and Awareness of Job Site environment; Have the ability to work outdoors in seasonal/changing weather conditions. Candidates will be expected to lead survey crew using advanced surveying equipment & technology; prepare and maintain accurate field notes in paper field book & with an electronic data collector; perform calculations involving algebra, geometry and trigonometry to determine land dimensions; collaborate with engineers, architects and construction teams to provide necessary survey data. Must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex survey maps, plat maps, city/county/State right-of-way maps and civil and architectural plans; must have experience in data collection methods relevant to land surveying; must have the ability to build effective working relationships with crew members and clients; must have an understanding of construction processes and how they relate to land surveying; must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
