The team you will be a part of The Laundry NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) team develops solutions focusing on consumer expectations of product noise performance. The team coordinates discussions and the strategy for new product development, as well as actively provides solutions to quality and cost initiatives of existing products. Part of the Team's responsibilities is also tracking and anticipating the industry trend under NVH subject. This Role In Summary Whirlpool is looking for a Product Analyst Engineer (Eng.) for our Laundry NVH team. This engineer will be responsible for developing and validating solutions to deliver a satisfactory consumer experience in the NVH area. Part of this role will include translating the VOC (voice of the customer) into VOE (voice of engineering) and using it to improve and validate laundry models, including washers and dryers. The engineer will work from Italy, Fabriano, and focus on the North America region for product development. Your Responsibilities Will Include Drive New product development/cost and quality projects for the laundry business Support and work on projects through all phases Collaboration with cross-functional teams on project deliverables. Delivery of Projects as per commitment to meet P2, P4G and Quality Targets. Drive simulation of virtual prototypes and build of physical prototypes per V&V Plan. Drive closure of DFMEA action plans and updated Occurrence & Detection, based on Concept and Design Validation data Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with some experience with noise and vibration during university studies; Fluent in English Preferred Skills And Experiences Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in mechanical design. Experience in vibration and noise test and analysis. Experience in simulation-based design in the NVH field. Product development & project delivery methodology experience. Self-driven, proactive, and motivated. Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
